For a long time I've been using the meta 7 player support from PvX (http://gwpvx.gamepedia.com/Build:Tea...Player_Support), which works great of course. But I've always been looking to optimise it further where possible, and I can't decide on the 7th hero (where the pvx suggests smite monk). I play a derv melee btw.

I was using Razah as SoGM, and apart from a few skill changes in my team, the only other difference was that I had Livia as my 7th hero running the following bar:

11+1+1 Death, 10+1 Soul Reaping, 10 Restoration

[Icy Veins][Putrid Bile][Deathly Swarm][Masochism][Signet of Lost Souls][Mend Body & Soul][Spirit Light][Protective was Kaolai]

However I read a thread on here saying that heroes don't use IV properly (apparently they wait too late to cast a lot of the time), and I hadn't really paid attention to whether she did or not. I tried out the ER Prot and changed razah to an E-surge mesmer, but the killing was too slow for my liking.

- Would you use Razah as a SoGM rit or E-Surge mesmer?
- For the 7th hero, should I stick with my IV N/Rt or use one of:

Smite Monk (Seems to be a bit of a jack of all trades, adds some dps and cleanup, needs micro'ing for RoJ. Strength of Honor)

ER prot (Solid defensively, but seems to be overkill for all but the hardest areas)

ST Rit (Provides solid defense, but inbetween spirit summons will be stood around doing nothing much - same thing I dislike about the SoGM rit)

- Or do you use something else that you find works even better?

I'm also considering dropping the MM as 1) He lags behind a lot spamming death nova, meaning I have to wait around for his meat shields. 2) It's incompatible with an ST rit, if I needed to run one. Thoughts?

I would like too give you extensive guidance and team setups that i run.
What weapon sets work, and what skill hero AI uses good and disfunctional.
Hero rune and insignia setups.
There are serval ways too build a solid setup that weaves all class cons toghether.
